If the plane doesn’t land

If the plane does not land,
Or is blows to smithereens.

If my heart gives in,
And it ceases to beat.

If I go through a storm and
a tornado whisks me away.

Or if I collide with a car,
Driving home to you one day.

If I am struck by lighting,
When I am not in rubber sole’d shoes,

If I get a moment to think, before I go,
Know that moment will be you.

it’s quite natural to have an irrational fear of death.

But, I’ve never felt anything compared to the anxiety that your time will be cut short with the one you love.

‘If the plane doens’t land’ is here so I can tell you that I’ll love you until the end, whoever you are, whenever it is.
